According to a new study conducted by England’s National Cancer Intelligence Network (NCIN), rare cancers such as mesothelioma make up more than 50% of the cancer-related fatalities in the United Kingdom. The new report from Cancer52 reveals that 2,500 mesothelioma cases are diagnosed in the UK annually. Moreover, in 2011 there were 2,009 fatalities from mesothelioma in Great Britain, UK. Study data also reports that industrial and construction workers exposed to asbestos at work are most frequently diagnosed with mesothelioma.
