Asbestos could be found in the soil, rock and air samples surveyed in these regions, putting females at an elevated risk. The scientists behind the study claim that there is still quite a bit they do not understand about the factors, and that they will seek out further geological samples of neighboring or similar regions to better understand the risks involved with continued exposure to asbestos.
